DRC Attends NBHS Induction Ceremony

DRACUT – Members of the Dracut Rotary Club were among the the invited guests, at Dracut Senior High School today, at the National Business Honor Society Induction Ceremony for the Class of 2013. The Club, which sponsors NBHS at DHS, joined administrators, faculty, family and friends in congratulating the eleven students being honored for their scholarship and business acumen.

To be inducted into NBHS, you must be a high school junior who has demonstrated high levels of involvement, leadership and achievement in your school and community. As a member of NBHS, you are expected to further your involvement in these key areas, promoting NBHS, your school and yourself.

DRC became aware of the school’s desire to participate in NBHS in 2011 when the group’s advisor, teacher Linda McHugh, approached us for support. The Club provided funding to the Business Department to organize and meet the national society’s charter requirements. Since that time, the Class of 2012 NBHS members partnered with DRC in the Crutches 4 Africa Project at the 2011 Dracut Old Home Day. The Club is hoping to expand this collaboration with the newly inducted members of the Class of 2013.

In attendance at the Induction Ceremony were Rotarians Paul Dufour, Dot Ambrosini, Lee Ouellette, Farook Taufiq, Chuck Moran and LouAnn Jendro.
