District Governor Karin Gaffney Visits Club

District 7910 Governor Karin Gaffney visited Dracut on Tuesday, October 24, bringing Rotary International President Ian Riseley’s message of “Making a Difference.” Karin delivered inspiring words about carrying this message into our community. She asked club members to work toward developing service projects in our community, getting the message out to the people of Dracut,  and attracting new members who will then help to work on those projects. “Service means engagement and engagement leads to membership,” said DG Karin.

DG Karin offered her help, and that of the entire District 7910 leadership, in achieving our goals for the year and beyond. She encouraged club members to be involved in service in the community. That will translate into an awareness of what Rotary is and what it means to be a Rotarian. When people in the community know what Rotary is all about, they will want to join us in our mission of “service above self.” Service will translate into community appreciation of our club and its mission and that will translate into new members for our club, according to Karin.
